About me
Hi, I’m Mandy — a nature lover, backpacker, and hiker currently based on the Canary Islands.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt most at home outdoors — under open skies, surrounded by wind, mountains, and sea.
My life has always revolved around one idea: freedom through travel.
A few years ago, I lived full-time in a van and traveled across Europe, chasing wild coastlines, quiet forests, and mountain trails. That experience taught me how little we really need to feel alive — just movement, simplicity, and connection with nature.
Now, I’ve found my perfect rhythm: combining backpacking and hiking. I travel light, explore on foot, and seek out new long-distance trails and offbeat destinations across Europe and beyond.
Each journey brings new landscapes, challenges, and stories — from volcanic ridges on the Canaries to limestone hills in Ireland and alpine passes in the Balkans.
Through this blog, I want to share my hiking experiences, trail guides, and travel insights — not just to inspire, but to show that you don’t need much to live freely and explore deeply.
Whether you’re planning your first multi-day hike or dreaming of life on the road, I hope my stories help you take that first step.
Let’s walk the wild paths together — one footpath only. 🥾
